Entry Level Aircraft Finish Tech

Job summary

JenJac’s is currently looking for an entry level touch-up technician to join our team. The Touch-up tech will be required to touch-up discrepancies found in the veneer throughout the finish process.

Responsibilities/daily tasks

• Touch-up discrepancies within wood veneers throughout the finish process using finish tools such as thin tip paint brushes.
• Apply UV coating using finishing tools and roll on curable primers to achieve quality finish
• Mix paints to match the colors and patterns of the exotic wood veneer
• Blend to ensure the entire part matches and the touch-up area is not noticeable
• Inspect parts for damages and completion
• Clean parts as needed ensuring that no dust or debris is on the part while touching up damaged areas.
• Complete other tasks as requested by management

Qualifications

• Possess a steady hand and the ability to touch up critical areas
• Ability to blend paint to create a transparent and unnoticeable repair
• Possess great attention to detail and have a keen eye for color
• Previous experience with exotic woods is a plus
• Ability to work efficiently in a safe manner
• Ability to adhere to all company policies and procedures
• Relation of the position to others in the company

The finish shop touch-up/UV technician works directly under the finish shop manager

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
