Job Description

Job Title: Aviation Maintenance Technician Department: FXE Aircraft Maintenance Status: Full Time or Contractor Location: Ft Lauderdale, FL Reports To: Maintenance General Manager

Job Responsibilities:

  • Performance of daily scheduled and non-scheduled inspections, maintenance, repair, and alteration of aircraft as assigned by the Crew Chief or General Manager
  • Troubleshoot defective aircraft systems and components efficiently and under pressure
  • Positioning / towing aircraft in support of maintenance operations.
  • Comply with the manufacturer’s technical data, FAR and applicable safety rules.
  • Be responsible for the strict adherence to the aircraft inspection program and repair requirements
  • Inspect aircraft parts for compliance with regulations before installation.
  • Comply with safe work practices, environmental compliance and proper housekeeping.
  • Provide effective and clear communication to the Crew Chief and/or GM.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Airframe and Powerplant license is required.
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations related to maintenance and procedures.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Detailed working knowledge of Corridor is a strong plus.
  • 10 years of experience supporting Turbo Prop or Corporate Aircraft Maintenance Operations.
  • Detailed working knowledge of multiple aircraft and associated systems.
  • Detailed knowledge of aircraft maintenance manuals, component maintenance
  • manuals, wiring diagrams, and aircraft system schematics.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
