Job Title: Chief Inspector

Job Description

This role is responsible for overseeing all aircraft inspection activities, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer specifications, and established quality standards. The Chief Inspector will supervise a team of inspectors and report directly to the Vice President of Maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of aircraft inspectors, assigning tasks and ensuring proper training and competency.
• Oversee daily inspection operations and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Manage and maintain accurate maintenance documentation.
• Make critical decisions regarding aircraft airworthiness to ensure safe operations.
• Develop and implement comprehensive inspection procedures.
• Monitor maintenance quality, ensuring proper documentation of all inspection findings.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable FAA regulations, manufacturer's maintenance manuals, and internal quality standards.
• Review and approve maintenance documentation, including work orders, logbooks, and inspection reports.
• Conduct audits and spot checks to verify compliance with procedures and regulations.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of aircraft maintenance experience on turboprop aircraft.
• 3+ years of experience in quality and leadership/supervisory roles.
• A&P License.
• Strong knowledge of FAA regulations (CFR Parts 21, 39, 43, 135, 145).
• Eligibility for safety-sensitive hire.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Experience in repair, troubleshooting, heavy maintenance, line maintenance, and MRO.
• Proficiency in C checks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $145000.00 - $175000.00/yr.
