Aircraft Structures Mechanic

Job Summary Veterans Alliance is hiring an experienced Structures Mechanic for a 6-month contract-to-hire position in Meridianville, Alabama, supporting heavy maintenance and aircraft modifications across a variety of platforms. This is a great opportunity for technicians with 5 or more years of hands-on structural experience to join a high-performing team with long-term potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural repairs, modifications, and heavy maintenance on various aircraft platforms
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and repair manuals
• Drill, rivet, and install structural components and assemblies using standard aircraft techniques
• Use sheet metal tools, jigs, and fixtures to perform precision repairs and installations
• Ensure all work meets FAA, customer, and company quality standards
• Maintain detailed documentation of completed tasks
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 5 years of aircraft structural repair experience – REQUIRED
• Experience in heavy maintenance and aircraft modification environments
• Ability to read and interpret technical data and structural repair manuals
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
• Tools are preferred, but not a deal-breaker
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
