Job Description

C&L Aviation Services is currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Aircraft Sheet Metal / Structural Technician to join our growing team. This role requires the ability to evaluate aircraft structural damage and carry out high-quality sheet metal repairs and modifications in accordance with FAA and company standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key resource for evaluating and repairing structural damage to aircraft
  • Read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals, blueprints, drawings, and technical directives
  • Repair or replace aircraft structural components using standard aviation sheet metal practices
  • Perform precise sheet metal bending and fabrication to meet aviation specifications
  • Safely remove rivets and other structural components as needed
  • Construct aircraft components using a variety of sheet metal materials and fabrication techniques
  • Use and maintain tools such as press brakes, shears, rollers, rivet guns, pneumatic squeezes, and grinders
  • Work with various chemicals in compliance with OSHA PPE standards
  • Accurately complete documentation for all work performed in accordance with FAA regulations

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in aircraft sheet metal or structural work
  • Strong ability to measure, assess, and evaluate structural damage
  • Proficiency in layout, fabrication, and assembly of aircraft sheet metal parts
  • Experience interpreting and applying blueprints and technical drawings
  • Competency in using shop tools related to structural repair
  • Understanding of FAA standards and knowledge of approved repair techniques
  • Ability to make informed decisions about repair feasibility
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for documentation and reporting

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
